Welcome to Carolina Hearing Institute
Carolina Hearing Institute is a division of South Carolina ENT, and is a full-service audiology practice with four convenient locations throughout the South Carolina Midlands.

The audiologists at Carolina Hearing Institute have received their doctoral degrees from university graduate programs accredited by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing-Association. They specialize in prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of hearing impairments and balance disorders in patients of all ages. As primary health care providers, our audiologists often collaborate with a variety of physicians to determine the best medical, surgical, or rehabilitative treatments options.

Appointments
Our offices are open Monday through Friday and patients are seen by appointment only. Scheduled appointments allow our audiologists the opportunity to devote the appropriate amount of time to each patient depending on individual needs. It also drastically reduces the likelihood of long waits for services. We feel that this helps us provide the highest quality of care and convenience for our patients. Same day appointments are often available.

To schedule an appointment, please call or email us to speak to our staff.

Insurance
Did you know most private insurance companies cover the costs of audiologic testing and hearing aid assessments? However, your insurance company may require a physician referral before proceeding with audiological testing. If you are covered by a HMO insurance plan, you must provide the appropriate HMO referral or authorization number before we can proceed with testing. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider or benefits manager to determine exactly what audiologic services your policy covers. Carolina Hearing Institute routinely bills insurance providers on the behalf of patients, for any services rendered. However it is the responsibility of the patient to pay any balance that may be due, including co-pays and deductibles.
