Carolina Hearing Institute, a division of South Carolina ENT, is a full-service audiology practice staffed with licensed Audiologists and Audiology Technicians. Our goal is to provide patient-focused service and personal attention. We value lifelong relationships with our patients and their families and strive to make a difference in the quality of our patients’ lives.

The Audiologists at Carolina Hearing Institute specialize in the prevention, identification, assessment, and treatment of hearing impairments and balance disorders. Audiologists have extensive training and skills to evaluate the hearing of infants, children, and adults.

Carolina Hearing Institute provides a full range of audiological services including comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, tinnitus management, vestibular function testing to evaluate dizziness and vertigo, and auditory evoked potential testing to evaluate neural disorders of hearing. They dispense digital hearing aids and repair most makes of hearing aids. They also dispense custom fitted earplugs, including musician's plugs and swim plugs.


Kathryn S. McGee, MS, CCC-A

A fully licensed audiologist, Kathryn (Katie) S. McGree is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is also a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology.

Ms. McGree has nearly a decade of experience as a clinical audiologist and has worked with adult and pediatric patients at clinics in Virginia and Mississippi.

She is currently completing her Doctor of Audiology degree (AuD) through A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, Mesa, Arizona. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Audiology at the University of Manchester in Manchester, England, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Kaitlin Dougherty Prizzia, AuD, CCC-A

A fully licensed audiologist, Kaitlin Dougherty Prizzia is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology.

Kaitlin received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.

Kaitlin’s clinical interests include diagnostic audiology, amplification, cochlear implants and implantable hearing aids. Her research on hearing aid dexterity among the elderly population was presented at the Sixth Annual ILR Research in Aging Poster Competition and at the Kiwanis Club Gainesville, FL meeting.
